The most common video wall types installed in Dubai are fine-pitch LED (seamless, premium), narrow-bezel LCD (cost-effective), and outdoor LED (weatherproof, high-brightness). The right choice depends on viewing distance, ambient light, content type, and budget. Here is every type we supply and install.
Fine-Pitch LED Video Walls
Indoor LED panels with pixel pitch from P1.2 to P2.5. Used in corporate lobbies, broadcast studios, command and control rooms, and premium retail environments. Fine-pitch LED offers seamless joins with no visible bezels between panels. Brightness is adjustable from 100 to 1,000+ nits. Panels can be arranged in any aspect ratio — not just standard rectangles — making creative installations possible. Viewing distance starts from 1.5m for P1.2.
From AED 80,000LCD Narrow-Bezel Video Walls
Multiple commercial-grade LCD panels tiled together with bezels as thin as 1.7mm. The most cost-effective option for meeting rooms, reception areas, and retail digital signage. Samsung and LG commercial panels in 46", 49", and 55" sizes support 24/7 operation, unlike consumer TVs. A standard 2×2 configuration delivers a 110" equivalent display at a fraction of the cost of an LED wall. Popular for offices, hotels, and showrooms in Business Bay and DIFC.
From AED 20,000Outdoor LED Video Walls
Weatherproof LED displays rated IP65 for full outdoor exposure. Brightness of 5,000–10,000 nits ensures clear visibility even in Dubai's direct sunlight — where indoor-rated screens wash out completely. Pixel pitch from P4 to P10 for outdoor viewing distances of 5–50m. Used for building facades, outdoor retail, stadium perimeters, roadside advertising, and event screens. All outdoor LED installations include wind load engineering calculations for Dubai conditions.
From AED 50,000Creative Shape LED Displays
LED panels are not limited to flat rectangles. Curved, cylindrical, floor-mounted, ceiling-hung, and irregular-shape LED installations are possible using flexible or modular LED tile systems. Used for retail brand activations, exhibition stands, hotel lobbies, and landmark installations. iDesign engineers bespoke mounting structures for each creative format — every shape installation includes 3D visualisation before fabrication begins so you can approve the final look in advance.
Custom PricingLED Transparent Displays
See-through LED mesh screens that allow light and visibility through the panel while displaying high-brightness content. Used on glass shopfronts, window displays, and partition walls where maintaining transparency is essential. Typical transparency is 50–80%. Pixel pitch from P3.9 to P10. Popular in Dubai Mall, Global Village, and high-street retail environments where window displays need to remain visible from outside while carrying dynamic digital content.
From AED 40,000Control Room Video Walls
Specialist rear-projection cube or fine-pitch LED systems designed for 24/7 mission-critical operation. Used in security monitoring centres, traffic management facilities, utility control rooms, and broadcast master control suites. These systems require zero downtime — we specify panels with hot-swap module capability so a single failed module can be replaced in minutes without shutting down the entire display. Redundant power supply and cooling are standard in every control room specification.

Pixel pitch is the distance in millimetres between LED clusters — the smaller the number, the sharper the image, and the higher the cost. For a viewer standing 3 metres away, a P2.5 wall looks identical to a P1.2 wall. Overspending on pitch wastes budget. Underspending produces a pixelated image. Use the table below to select correctly.
| Pixel Pitch | Min. Viewing Distance | Best For | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1.2 – P1.5 | 1.2 – 1.5m | Close-range premium displays ★ | Boardrooms, broadcast studios, control rooms |
| P1.5 – P2.5 | 1.5 – 2.5m | Corporate lobbies & reception walls | DIFC offices, hotel atriums, showrooms |
| P2.5 – P4 | 2.5 – 5m | Retail floors & event stages | Mall activations, conference stages, F&B |
| P4 – P6 | 5 – 10m | Large indoor venues | Auditoriums, warehouses, exhibition halls |
| P6 – P10 | 10 – 20m | Outdoor semi-close viewing | Building entrances, outdoor retail, stadiums |
| P10 – P16 | 20m+ | Outdoor long-distance | Roadside, billboard replacement, facades |
LED Video Wall vs Projector — Which Is Right for You?
In Dubai's bright commercial environments, LED video walls outperform projectors in almost every application. Projectors require a darkened room. LED works in full ambient light. Here is an honest side-by-side based on real installation experience across Dubai.
💡 LED Video Wall
- Works in any ambient light — no need to dim the room
- No lamp to replace — 100,000 hour LED lifespan
- Seamless image with no visible joins (fine-pitch LED)
- Always-on reliability — suitable for 24/7 operation
- Modular — panels can be added or reconfigured later
- Scales from 1m² to 100m²+ in any aspect ratio
- Higher upfront cost — lower long-term operating cost
- Ideal for: lobbies, retail, control rooms, outdoor
📽️ Projector / Projection
- Requires a darkened room for best image quality
- Lamp replacement every 2,000–5,000 hours (ongoing cost)
- No bezel lines but requires projection distance (throw)
- Not suitable for 24/7 — lamps degrade with continuous use
- Fixed size once installed
- Limited by ceiling height and room depth for large images
- Lower upfront cost — higher maintenance cost over time
- Ideal for: cinemas, presentation theatres, dark venues
Where Video Walls Are Installed in Dubai
The most common video wall applications in Dubai are corporate lobbies, retail stores, hotels, control rooms, events, and exhibition stands. iDesign has delivered installations across all six since 2015 — with 1,000+ signage and display projects completed across the UAE.
🏢 Corporate Lobbies & Reception
A video wall behind a reception desk is the single most impactful branding element in any corporate office. It displays brand content, achievements, live data feeds, or ambient visuals. For DIFC and Business Bay offices, P1.5–P2.5 fine-pitch LED is the standard. Visitors form an impression within seconds of walking in. A well-specified lobby video wall communicates scale, confidence, and investment — without a word being spoken.
→ Typical: 3×2m P1.8 LED wall, content management system, installation · AED 90,000–150,000🛍️ Retail Flagship Stores
Retail video walls run brand campaigns, product launches, and seasonal promotions. They attract footfall from outside the store and hold attention inside. The key requirement in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and City Walk retail environments is brightness — panels must compete with intense artificial store lighting. We specify minimum 800 nit panels for retail interiors and 1,200+ nit for window-facing positions to maintain visibility without washing out.
→ Typical: 4×2m P2.5 LED wall with CMS, scheduled content · AED 120,000–200,000🎤 Events & Conference Venues
Event video walls need to be fast to install, fast to dismantle, and visually perfect during the event itself. We supply rental and permanent video wall installations for conferences, product launches, award ceremonies, and MICE events at venues across Dubai. Portable LED panel systems can be deployed to any venue within 24–48 hours. Content switching, multi-input management, and livestream integration are all configurable.
→ Typical: Rental P3 LED wall, 6×3m, setup and support · From AED 8,000/day🏨 Hotels & Hospitality
Five-star hotels in Dubai use video walls for lobby ambiance, ballroom branding, digital wayfinding, and F&B promotions. The requirement is continuous operation — a hotel lobby screen runs 18+ hours per day. We specify commercial-grade panels rated for 24/7 use, not consumer displays that degrade under continuous operation. Colour calibration and brightness scheduling (brighter during day, dimmer at night) are set up during commissioning and managed remotely thereafter.
→ Typical: P2 LED lobby wall 4×2.5m with brightness scheduling · AED 130,000–180,000🔒 Control Rooms & Security
Security and operations control rooms run video walls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Downtime is not an option. We specify rear-projection cube systems or fine-pitch LED with hot-swap modules — meaning any failed component can be replaced in minutes without shutting down the display. Multi-input video wall controllers allow operators to arrange, resize, and switch between any number of camera feeds, maps, data dashboards, or application windows across the display surface.
→ Typical: 5×2m P1.5 LED with KVM controller, redundant power · AED 200,000+🏟️ Exhibitions & Trade Shows
Exhibition video walls are a high-impact tool for attracting visitors at GITEX, INDEX, Big 5, and other major Dubai trade shows. A 3m–6m LED backdrop transforms a standard booth into a landmark that draws delegates from across the hall. We supply booth-ready LED wall systems on rental or purchase, handle logistics to DWTC and ADNEC, and provide on-site technical support throughout the exhibition duration to ensure continuous operation.

Every iDesign video wall installation follows five steps: site assessment, technology selection, structural preparation, panel installation and calibration, and content system setup. Our ISO-certified process includes full technical documentation, staff training, and post-installation support — backed by 9+ years of UAE display installation experience.
Site Assessment & Engineering
Before any panel is ordered, our technical team visits your site. We assess the wall structure — concrete, drywall, glass, or steel frame — to confirm it can carry the weight of the LED or LCD panels and mounting frame. For heavy fine-pitch LED walls, we conduct structural load calculations. A P2 LED panel typically weighs 15–25kg per cabinet. A 4×3m wall carries 8–12 cabinets. That is 120–300kg on the wall structure — engineering cannot be skipped.
We also measure ambient light levels at different times of day, check power supply capacity and location, map data cabling routes, and confirm ventilation requirements for heat-generating LED cabinets. All findings are documented in a technical brief before the system is specified.
Technology Selection & Proposal
Based on the site assessment, we recommend the optimal technology — LED vs LCD, pixel pitch, panel brand, and video wall controller. You receive a full technical proposal including panel datasheets, a photorealistic 3D rendering of the installed display in your actual space, a detailed cost breakdown, and a timeline.
We propose two or three options at different price points so you can make an informed decision. We do not specify the most expensive option by default. We specify what is right for the space. If a P2.5 wall delivers the same viewer experience as a P1.8 at significantly lower cost, we will tell you that — and explain why.
Structural Preparation & Cabling
Before panels arrive, our team prepares the installation space. This means installing the mounting frame — wall-mounted, floor-standing, or ceiling-suspended depending on the wall type and panel weight. Electrical supply is upgraded if required. Dedicated circuits are recommended for video walls over 3×2m to prevent power fluctuations affecting display performance.
Data cabling for the video wall controller, network connectivity for remote management, and HDMI or DisplayPort signal cables are all routed and dressed neatly within the wall or through conduit. Good cable management at this stage prevents maintenance headaches later. All cabling is labelled and documented.
Panel Installation & Calibration
LED or LCD panels are mounted row by row, starting from the bottom. Each panel is levelled and aligned using laser levelling equipment — a 1mm alignment error across a large wall creates a visible step in the image. Once all panels are mounted, the video wall controller is connected and all panels are powered on simultaneously for the first time.
Calibration follows. Every LED cabinet undergoes individual brightness and colour calibration to ensure perfect uniformity across the entire display surface. A factory-calibrated panel will drift slightly in a new environment and temperature. On-site calibration after installation corrects this. The result is a display with no visible brightness seams, no colour temperature variation, and consistent greyscale response across every cabinet.
Content System Setup & Training
A video wall is only as effective as the content running on it. We configure the video wall controller, install content management software (CMS), and set up input switching so your team can manage what is displayed — without needing technical expertise. Scheduled playlists, multi-zone layouts, live input switching, and emergency override modes are all configured before handover.
We provide hands-on training for your operations team — typically 2–4 hours covering content uploading, scheduling, zone management, and basic troubleshooting. A full technical manual specific to your installation is provided. Remote monitoring is configured where required so our team can diagnose issues and push updates without visiting site. Post-installation support is available via phone and WhatsApp on +971 52 420 0123.

LED video walls use individual light-emitting diode panels that tile together with no visible bezels between them. The result is a truly seamless image across the entire display surface. LED panels offer higher brightness (600–1,500 nit for indoor, 5,000–10,000 nit for outdoor), longer lifespan (100,000 hours), and greater flexibility in shape and size. LED is the premium choice for corporate and high-visibility applications.
LCD video walls use multiple commercial LCD screens arranged in a grid, with bezel gaps of 1.7–3.5mm between each screen. These thin lines are visible in the image — fine for data displays and information boards, less ideal for brand imagery. LCD walls are more cost-effective for small configurations and are widely used in meeting rooms, reception areas, and retail environments where budget is the primary consideration.
A standard 2×2 LCD video wall can be installed in 1–2 working days. A 3×2m or 4×3m fine-pitch LED installation typically takes 3–5 days including structural mounting, cabling, calibration, and content system setup. Large or complex installations — outdoor LED facades, control room walls over 5m wide, or multi-zone systems — may require 1–2 weeks.
The total timeline from first consultation to completed installation is typically 3–6 weeks, including site assessment (1 week), proposal approval (1 week), procurement (1–2 weeks), and installation. For urgent projects, we can expedite procurement and compress timelines — call +971 52 420 0123 to discuss your deadline.
The right pixel pitch depends on the minimum viewing distance in your space. As a general guide: P1.2–P1.5 for viewing distances of 1.5–2m (boardrooms, broadcast); P1.5–P2.5 for 2–4m (corporate lobbies, reception); P2.5–P4 for 4–8m (retail floors, event stages); P4–P10 for 8–20m (outdoor, large venues).
Choosing a finer pitch than your viewing distance requires wastes budget. Choosing a coarser pitch than required produces a pixelated image that undermines the purpose of the installation. Our engineers measure your specific space and recommend exactly the right spec. There is no commercial incentive for us to over-specify — we recommend what is genuinely right for your application.
Most walls can support a video wall with the right mounting approach. Concrete and masonry walls are the easiest — standard wall anchors carry LED panel weights comfortably. Drywall or plasterboard partitions need reinforcement, either by adding a steel backing frame or by mounting from the floor using a free-standing structure that transfers the load to the floor slab instead of the partition.
Glass walls require specialist frameless clamping systems. Curtain-wall glass facades need structural engineering approval before any display is attached. For any wall type, our team conducts a structural assessment before recommending a mounting method — we will never install a system that puts the wall or the panels at risk.
Yes. Every video wall installation includes content management system (CMS) setup and training. The CMS lets your team upload videos, images, and data feeds, schedule playlists by time of day or day of week, manage multi-zone layouts, and switch inputs. Most systems are browser-based — no specialist software installation required on your PC.
For clients who want fully managed content, we offer ongoing content design and scheduling as a monthly service. Our design team creates branded content assets, uploads and schedules them, and monitors the system remotely. This is popular with retail clients and hotels who want the video wall to always look professionally managed without adding workload to their in-house team.
Yes. We install video walls across all Dubai commercial areas — DIFC, Business Bay, Downtown, Dubai Marina, JLT, Al Quoz, Deira, Jumeirah, and all free zones including TECOM, DAFZA, JAFZA, and Dubai South. We also cover Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and other UAE emirates for commercial projects.
Our installation crew is based in Al Qusais and can mobilise to any Dubai location within 24 hours for urgent technical support. For sites outside Dubai, we coordinate logistics and provide remote monitoring as the standard support channel.
Panel warranty depends on the brand and model. Most commercial-grade LED and LCD panels carry a 2–3 year parts warranty covering LED module, driver, and power supply failures. iDesign provides a 1-year on-site labour warranty covering all installation-related faults — meaning if a panel mounts incorrectly or a cable fails at a connection we made, we fix it at no cost.
Extended warranty and annual maintenance contracts are available. Maintenance includes cleaning of panel surfaces and ventilation, firmware updates, colour re-calibration, and full system health checks. Recommended annually — Dubai's dust and temperature cycles affect electronic components faster than in cooler climates.
